Located in Princeville, Wyllie's Beach is a small crescent of golden sand with views of Bali Hai. The dark lava rock outcroppings create a dramatic waterfall effect when the surf's up, making it visually striking even when water conditions aren't swimmable.

Here's what you need to know: this spot is generally **not safe for swimming** due to strong currents, fierce waves, and serious backwash. Water conditions here can be dangerous most of the time. On the calmest summer days, experienced swimmers and snorkelers might find some opportunities near the rock outcropping where it's a bit more protected, and there's some decent skin diving in the deeper areas. But check conditions before entering the water, and never swim alone.

This beach works best for experienced ocean lovers who can read the water and know their limits. Families with kids should skip swimming here unless you're visiting for views and beach time on the sand. Watch out for sneaker waves that come out of nowhere and can slam you into the rocks.

**No lifeguard on duty here**, so you're responsible for your own safety calls. You'll want to come for the scenery and secluded location, but plan your swimming for safer North Shore spots like Hanalei Bay when conditions are calmer.
